Apple Home recently got better in three ways, here’s what’s new
During the iOS 26 cycle, [[Apple Home]] has gained three practical improvements that make smart homes easier to live with: a new Adaptive Temperature feature that uses on-device intelligence to heat or cool your house based on predicted arrival and sleep schedules; first-party hardware support arriving with the [[Aqara Smart Thermostat W200]] that implements Adaptive Temperature and also functions as a Matter 1.4 hub; and the first smart lock with Home Key and Ultra Wideband, the [[Aqara Smart Lock U400]], which enables precise, secure automatic locking and unlocking tied to your presence. Apple also simplified setup with multipack accessory pairing in the [[Home app]], letting users enroll multiple items with one code, reducing friction when adding smart plugs, bulbs, or sensors.
